Tapelist

Punch list app for iPhone & iPad · Coming soon

Punch lists with every photo, in one clean PDF.

Tapelist turns a site walk into a punch list PDF that's ready to send: as many photos per item as you need, markup in two taps, and with Pro, one report per trade. Works offline, with no account.

Pro is a one-time $24.99 (planned), half price in launch week. Free plan included.

  • Built by Renzo, an independent developer. I answer every email myself.
  • Your projects stay on your device
  • One payment, no subscription
  • The free plan always exports a PDF
Sample data, shown with Pro: your logo and per-trade reports. The free plan exports the same report without the logo and with a small "Made with Tapelist" footer. Report labels come in English and Spanish at launch; translating your own text comes in a later update.

How it works

From site walk to PDF in three steps

No more 60 photos in a group chat and a list in a text. Every photo stays with its item, its room and its trade, so nobody has to guess which picture goes with which fix.

  1. Walk and snap.

Open a project, tap the room and shoot. Add as many photos to an item as it takes: a wide shot to show where, a close-up to show what. Arrows, circles, text and blur come right after the shot.

  2. Tag it in seconds.

Status, priority, trade and due date. Your location and trade list carry over to the next item, so you're not typing "Unit 4B – Kitchen" forty times.

  3. Send the PDF.

A cover page, every photo and your markup, on every plan. With Pro, add your logo and signature and send one report per trade, so each sub only sees their own items. Share through Mail, Messages, WhatsApp, AirDrop or Files.

What you get

Fixes for the things that slow a punch walk down

No photo limit per item

Wide shot, close-up, the label on the box. Add completion photos later. Add a batch from your camera roll in the order you took them.

A PDF that goes out the first time

Every plan exports a PDF, including the free one. A size meter and automatic compression keep reports email-friendly, and big jobs split by area. No email account to set up inside the app.

One report per tradePro

The painter gets the paint items and the electrician gets the electrical. Same project, separate PDFs, each with its own photos and due dates.

Before and after close-outSoonPro

Close an item with a completion photo and send the owner a side-by-side close-out report.

Write it in Spanish, deliver it in EnglishSoon

Your crew logs items in Spanish, and Tapelist translates the report into English on your device, with no upload. Review it before you send. Included on every plan.

Offline. No account. Your data.

Basements, new builds, no signal: everything still works. No sign-up, no login. Projects live on your device, and you can back them up as a file whenever you like.

Fair from day one. No ads. No subscription. No paywall on work you've already done. We'll ask for a rating once, not after every report.

FAQ

Questions

When does it launch?

iPhone and iPad come first. We're building it now; the launch date will be posted on this page once the app passes App Review.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Capture, markup, editing and creating the PDF all happen on your device. You only need a connection, or AirDrop, to send the file.

Is there an Android version?

It's planned after the iPhone version, with no date yet.

Where is my data? Do I need an account?

There's no account. Your projects and photos stay on your device and only go where you send them. You can back up a project as one file to Files, iCloud Drive or a computer. We never see your projects.

What can I export?

On every plan: a PDF in US Letter or A4 with cover, photos and markup, and a full project backup (.zip). Pro adds your logo, signatures and a CSV of your items. You can also print through AirPrint.

How much will it cost?

There's a free plan with one active project and PDF export. Pro is a one-time purchase, planned at $24.99, with no subscription. Launch week is 50% off. Prices may change before launch.

Why no subscription? What if you stop working on it?

Tapelist has no accounts and no servers, so there's nothing to pay for every month: everything runs on your iPhone or iPad. Apple keeps the record of your Pro purchase, so you can restore it with the same Apple Account. Your reports are PDFs and your projects back up as .zip files, and those files are yours to keep whatever happens to the app.

Can my team work on the same project?

No. Tapelist is a tool for the person walking the site, with no accounts or cloud. You can send PDFs to anyone (and CSVs with Pro), and pass a project to a colleague as a backup file.

Does it use UK, Australian or Canadian wording? Spanish?

Yes. Choose punch list, snag list, defects list or deficiency list, and the report labels follow. The app and its reports are in English and Spanish at launch.

Is it certified for OSHA or building regulations?

No. Tapelist documents and reports what you find. It doesn't certify compliance.
